The Research Imaging Sales Associate position is a career track opportunity for a Scientist or Post-doc with digital imaging expertise to join an elite, professional sales team. Job Duties

*  Sales and support of EVIDENT products and related components in the Life Science Markets including: Live Cell Widefield and Spinning Disk systems, Slide Scanning, Light Sheet, High Content Screening systems, Imaging/Image Analysis and third-party equipment as required.

*  Complete the Research Imaging Training Syllabus. Attend advanced technical training and sales training sessions.

*  Observe and assist with demonstrations. Research and learn technical data and application note content to address various customer needs to prepare a proposed solution.

*  Work with more senior Imaging Specialists to plan and conduct major presentations to explain optical theory and promotion of EVIDENT software and imaging products for Life Science researchers.

*  Provide the customer with demonstration and application notes to address all needs and promote a complete solution.

*  Meet sales targets by working with Core Microscope Sales Representatives, Marketing and Field Engineering staff.

*  Prepare quotations for customers to include detailed software and digital imaging specifications.

*  Attend National and local trade shows as assigned.

*  Develop an understanding of the key accounts, departments and researchers in the territory.

*  Develop proficiency with CRM to generate Opportunities, Quotes, and searches for various data.

*  Develop advanced proficiency with Elton inventory control software. Maintain, manage and be accountable for sample account.

*  Provide Sales Manager with weekly call reports via entries into CRM Calendar and weekly update of CRM open opportunities.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*  Bachelor’s Degree in Life or Technical Science or equivalent experience required. Masters or Ph.D. preferred. Equivalent mix of education and applicable experience from an accredited institution considered.

*  Working knowledge of live cell imaging, spinning disk confocal, deconvolution, point spread functions required.

*  Strong interpersonal communications and computer skills are necessary.

*  Overnight Travel is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*  Previous sales experience is preferred. Capital Equipment Sales is a plus.

*  If no sales experience, MS/ Ph.D. degree with significant Digital Imaging and Imaging Software experience preferred.

*  Advanced applications knowledge is a plus. (TIRF, FRET, FRAP, automated multi-dimensional acquisitions, etc.)

*  Basic image analysis experience is preferred. Prior work with platforms including MATLAB, Image J and Python is a plus.

*  Effective training and troubleshooting skillset.
